The writing and ratification of the U.S. Constitution is broadly construed as an advance for individual liberty and limited self-government. But the historical context perhaps tells a different story — a story of counterrevolution.”
At 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday September 17th (Constitution Day), in the Heritage Room of the Oklahoma Memorial Union, Sheldon Richman of the Future of Freedom Foundation will be doing a presentation on the move from the Articles of Confederation to the Constitution, favoring the anti-ratification perspective often ignored in contemporary discussions. The event is being hosted by the Future of Freedom Foundation, as well as the student groups OU Young Americans for Liberty formerly/https://www.facebook.com/ouyal/events and OU Students for a Stateless Society.
