Gary Jones, our state auditor did an outstanding job as convention chair on Saturday in OKC. He did indeed manage to guide us through all appropriate party business under very difficult circumstances. He kept his cool and offered a little humor to relieve the tension along the way as well.
What a bright future ahead for this Young Republican Chair, Michael Stopp — his speech was a high spot for me on the floor of the convention this weekend in OKC — remember this name!
After hours of credentialing delays we finally had a vote on the state chair and vice chair. Randy Brogdon was elected in a runoff race with Pam Pollard for chair and Estela Hernandez was elected over John T. Lewis for vice chair. Sandra Crosnoe said, ” It was a huge win for the people of the Oklahoma Republican party this weekend! I am praising God in the midst of it all.”
The OKGrassroots Project passed out flyers about how to obtain your copy “A Simple Plan to Restore Accountability In Oklahoma Government” by Porter Haskell Davis & Mark R. Morris, Jr. It is free to download here>>> or you may enter a donation to the project if you wish.
And those are the highlights for me of a very long day – April 11, 2015 in OKC. The celebrations went on into the evening, but that is another story!
