An interesting note from page 15 of Governor Fallin's FY2019 Executive Budget proposal
As the overall economy has improved, the "sky is falling!"
projections of a massive, multi-hundred million dollar budget shortfall have lessened and lessened, with Governor Fallin's own budget proposal now showing that the state will have just under $60M more to appropriate than in the FY2018 budget.
builds on that sum by adding just over $696M in new taxes, and adding $723M in new spending, cutting that $60M surplus over the FY2018 budget in half.
