SB1122 passed the Oklahoma House and Senate and is now headed for the Governor’s Desk. Line item 15 will take authority from our elected Secretary of Education and place that authority in the hands of the Senate Pro Tempore and House Speaker. Line item 16 takes aways the Secretary of Education’s ability to do public relations. Read the bill here.
Call Gov. Stitt and ask him to at a minimum veto SB1122 Line item veto 15 & 16 which would tie Ryan Walter’s hands and the ability of the State Department of Education to do their job! Ask Gov. Stitt to veto the entire bill, which would not stop funding, it would only stop these actions to limit Secretary Walters from doing the job We the People elected him to do!
