Greetings! In this issue:Dec 9 – Special Election for Creek, Noble, Osage, Pawnee & Paybe counties and the slander campaign attempting to skew the outcome.Scandal in Tulsa County over a quarter of a million dollars!SQ 836 – jungle primary petition to change Oklahoma into California election system.Oklahoma leads the nation in food stamp fraud. Whether you live in one of the counties affected above or not, if you live in Oklahoma, this affects you. Aren’t you tired of elected officials who use their positions to benefit themselves? It’s happening by someone in every county. Or when election integrity is undermined by slander campaigns intent on shifting the outcome and no one is held accountable. SPECIAL ELECTION – Dec 9 – To Replace Ty Burns This is the vacated seat by former OK House Representative Ty Burns, who resigned after pleading guilty to domestic violence misdemeanors. This has turned into quite the race with six candidates running. A couple of weeks ago, panic set in by those who were certain they could control who won the seat. But when Winn was the front-runner heading into the last couple of weeks, a slander campaign was launched against him to try to skew the election results. . Winn has refused to take lobbyist money or dark money, which panics and enrages the establishment controllers. He isn’t the guy with the biggest name recognition. It is like Jim Shaw and Jonathan Wingard, “underdogs” who both won their races against big money and big name recognition of their opponents. We are seeing this happen because we the people are tired of the money manipulation and control of elected officials and are jumping behind candidates who will stand for integrity. If you received one of the mailers making claims against Winn, you were a target. My investigation into those claims, revealed half-truths meant to discredit someone who had been threatened by others. The lies only reinforced my pick below recognizing the political establishment machine is trying to keep Winn from winning. For additional details on the candidates, click here for the Awake Oklahoma Voter Guide. MY CHOICE – James Winn (R) Luke Kruse (D) the only Democrat in this race. Dillon Travis (R) from Pawnee County. Amber Roberts (R) Kevin Wright (R) Mike Waters (R) To receive my FREE voter guides straight into your inbox before an election sign up here.
SCANDAL IN TULSA COUNTY We learned that $240,000 dollars in (COVID) ARPA funds were awarded to a non-profit that not only did not qualify, but benefited a sitting Tulsa City Councilor who sat on the subcommittee which determined which non-profits would receive the awards. Application requirements were for 501c3 organizations only. However, money was granted to a 501c6 organization, which had received notification the year before that their 501c3 status had been revoked by the IRS. Despite that they submitted an application for funds. An ethics complaint was filed, and ignored, by the Tulsa Council Administrator. 130 non-profits, who work to help the community, were turned down for funding because of that ineligible non-profit.
Tulsa City Councilor, Vanessa Hall-Harper was an incorporator and board member for Black Wall Street Chamber of Commerce at the time the grant was awarded. It was the 5th largest award given of 200 applications–but did not qualify per the requirements.

We learned that the paper trail of this wrongful award has been submitted to State Auditor Cindy Byrd. However, there has been an odd lack of curiosity into how this happened, and reinforces why citizens feel distrust toward the governmental process. Please email Auditor Cindy Byrd along with Gov Stitt, Attorney General Gentner Drummond, Tulsa District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler and Sheriff Vic Regalado to ask why this investigation from 2021 has been ignored. There is a pattern across our nation–and in Oklahoma–of elected officials who are put as directors of non-profits, who then can use their positions as elected officials to see money funneled to those nonprofits–to which they also benefit. This causes continued distrust in citizens who want to see integrity rather than money-movement from our elected officials. ACTION STEP: If you are frustrated with the lack of oversight and investigation of tax-payer dollars, please take a moment to email the elected officials below who can do something about it and demand an investigation and audit of this situation. OK State Auditor Cindy Byrd – cbyrd@sai.ok.gov Governor Kevin Stitt – governor@gov.ok.gov Attorney General Gentner Drummond – contact@oag.ok.gov Tulsa District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler – districtattorney@tulsacounty.org Tulsa Sheriff Vic Regalado – vregalado@tcso.org

SQ 836 – JUNGLE PRIMARIES – What it is & What it will do Petitions are now being circulated for Oklahomans to sign a petition to allow State Question 836 to be added to the November 2026 ballot. This petition attempts to get Oklahoma elections to become what is known as “Jungle Primaries” and becomes a free-for-all contest removing the integrity and selection process of both primary parties. It is presented as “open primaries” to allow more people to vote. What it will do, is potentially disenfranchise voters in both Parties, so they may not have anyone in their Party as a candidate when it gets to the general election. Our current system allows for a Republican primary and a Democrat primary. Only Republicans can vote in the Republican primary. Democrats and Independents can vote in the Democrat primary. It is in the primary elections in which both parties vote to choose who will be their candidate who will advance to the general election—along with any independent who may have filed. If the Jungle Primary (SQ 836) is adopted, our elections will completely change as Republicans, Democrat and Independent candidate’s names will all be thrown on a ballot and anyone can vote for any candidate. It opens the door for numerous ways to skew an election. The top two candidates with the most votes advance to the general election. This process potentially disenfranchises voters from both parties such as what took place in Tulsa County in 2024 mayoral race. In that general election, there were two Democrat candidates and no Republican for Republican voters to choose. SQ 836 allows for the same voting system currently used in California and Washington state. What do proponents for SQ 836 say? Click here.
FOOD STAMP FRAUD IN OKLAHOMA The recent government shutdown did one good thing. It shone a light on the abuse of the food stamp system in many states. President Trump asked all states to investigate and clean up their EBT rolls. Of the states who turned in reports, it appears that Oklahoma leads the nation in food stamp fraud. Click here to read more. As you reach out to the governor and attorney general regarding the investigation into what appears to be misappropriation of ARPA funds described earlier, also ask them to clean up our food stamp program so that our taxpayer dollars are going to those who really need them in this program and not those who don’t qualify.
