Senate District 33 will have a runoff election on August 27th. Christi Gillespie is advertising herself as a conservative, but her record shows how she has not defended individual rights consistently during her time in government.

Christi Gillespie was a Broken Arrow City Council member and is now the Vice Mayor of Broken Arrow. In 2020, during the COVID craziness, Gillespie seconded and voted to issue a lockdown over commercial establishments in Broken Arrow. This is an outright violation of our Constitutional rights (see below, video credit to Tim Reiland).

She is on the board of Directors & Resource Development Committee of INCOG, an organization pushing for socialistic growing of our government through economic development among other projects that will bring globalist projects into Northeast Oklahoma.

She is endorsed by a pro-Teachers Union group, Oklahoma Rural Schools Coalition and the Dark Money PACs are supporting Gillespie, by spending over $100k towards her election efforts. These PACs include Catalyst Oklahoma, American Energy Action (who also supports Democrat Candidates), Job Creators Action Fund, and Oklahomans For A Connected Future.

iVoterGuide.com asked both candidates “Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?” Side note: “elective” is defined as “Optional, not necessary.” Gillespie answered, “Life of the Mother; Rape” and chose to not answer the question about chemical abortion drugs.

Doing research on candidates is crucial, and knowing a candidate’s past record is key to understanding the type of legislator they will be.
