On Friday and Saturday, hundreds of Republicans from across Oklahoma will gather in Oklahoma City to participate in the OKGOP State Convention.

Goal #1: Remove Legislators from the State Committee

Many of those who are involved in our party have realized the necessity of removing legislators from the State Committee. This is an important rule change that will allow the State Committee to fulfill its proper role in representing the counties, and ultimately, you, the voter, in governing our Party. Learn more here.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to approve a new OKGOP platform and other rule changes (OKGrassroots position on rule changes).

Goal #2: Elections

  • Delegate Slate: As a deliberative body, we, the delegates, will decide whether to approve the slate proposed by the Executive Committee. This is a time for your voice to be heard! Learn more about the process here.
  • National Committeeman and National Committeewoman: Every four years, we elect two Oklahoma Republicans to represent us on the Republican National Committee (the state chairman also sits on this committee). Larry Murray and Charity Linch will be a strong voice for the Republican voters of Oklahoma on the Republican National Committee.
    • Larry Murray is the Chairman of the Washington County GOP, a proven grassroots leader, and believes in the bottom-up structure of our party.
    • Charity Linch built the Freedom Brigades, teaching individuals how to take back their communities, and is the Chairman of Craig County Republican Party.
