SQ 832: Raising the Minimum Wage is not Free Market and will Harm those it Purports to Help!
SQ 832 has a series of static increases in the minimum wage that would bring the minimum wage to $15 over five years. After that, the minimum wage is subject to increases based on the U.S. Department of Labor’s Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers. If this had passed in 2015, Oklahoma’s minimum wage would be $19.04 today, a 112 percent increase.

OKGrassroots is pleased to be working with liberty minded groups all over Oklahoma. We are tackling the tough issues of how we can best work together and keep up the pressure on our legislative goals. The challenge has been getting legislators to act upon our guidance and protect our God-given Liberties. We are working together to purchase a customized software tool to monitor legislation in real time, provide guidance to our lawmakers and automatically create a scorecard based on what they did with the guidance we provided. We believe this tool will be a game-changer which will benefit each of our organizations and the goals that we share.
Welcome New Republican Voters with Swag Bags and Valuable Info – Fall is a Great time to Walk your Precinct!
Over recent years, Republican Voter Rolls have been growing! This is good news and yet it can seem overwhelming to find them and welcome them to our party. If you are a county chair or a precinct chair get access to the voter rolls for your county. Then sort them by voter registration date. In my precinct we went back to 2023 and pulled a list of those households and prepared “swag bags” for them to welcome them and invite them to our meetings.
Vote No on SQ 836!
The Oklahoma Supreme Court has voted to allow SQ 836 to start collecting signatures. This ballot measure, if passed, will remove the party primary process in Oklahoma and create a “jungle primary” with all candidates on one ballot! We must work together to ensure that this ballot measure fails!

Jim Shaw Commits $100,000 to “Save Oklahoma Plan”
On September 2, 2025, State Representative Jim Shaw announced the launch of the Save Oklahoma Plan. It is a seven point plan with most of the conservative, grassroots organizations in the state signed onto the plan. OKGrassroots is pleased to be a part of this effort. We will be working with Representative Shaw as the plan rolls out and on future bills drafted to support the plan to be sure we remain both grassroots and constitutional!
Is Porn Available in Your Child’s School Library?
Recently I was made aware of a website that tracks inappropriate books in public school libraries. You can take a look for yourself here via Take Back the Classroom. Put in your city and even your school and see how many books they found in your area. We did that for Bartlesville and found the site listed 165 explicit/inappropriate books in our school libraries. This is my story on what several of us did after that.

Recently two Oklahoma State Board of Education Members accused State Superintendent, Ryan Walters, of outrageous behavior completely unfounded just to generate negative publicity. This type of behavior is irresponsible and unbecoming of public officials. This type of behavior must stop!
