Jenni White was an election board member, appointed by the Oklahoma County Republican Party. After observing what seemed to be violations of Title 26 (Oklahoma’s Election Statute), she started asking questions, and declined to sign the tape to certify the absentee ballots in the December 12 election.

Oklahoma State Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax responded by calling a special meeting of the State Election Board. After eight hours of meeting in executive session, the board fired Jenni White and Cheryl Williams, and referred the case to the Oklahoma County DA and state Attorney General for further investigation.
