We, the undersigned citizens of Oklahoma, demand immediate accountability and ethical leadership in our state government.
Public office is a public trust. Authority belongs to the people—not to political insiders or leadership positions.
Senator Lonnie Paxton has engaged in conduct that includes retaliating against Senator Jett, attempting to silence those seeking transparency, and abusing his authority in ways that are tyrannical in nature and incompatible with representative government.
During the final days of the last legislative session, inappropriate conduct on the Senate floor was formally reported to the Senate President Pro Tempore and the Sergeant at Arms. Senator Jett requested intervention. Those concerns were ignored.
Now, instead of addressing the misconduct, Senator Jett has been retaliated against for speaking out.
This pattern—misconduct, official inaction, and retaliation against a whistleblower—undermines public trust, chills transparency, and signals that accountability will be punished.
We therefore demand:
- Immediate removal of Senator Lonnie Paxton from all Senate leadership positions.
- A full and independent public investigation into his conduct.
- Public disclosure of all findings and any disciplinary actions taken.
- An on-the-record vote by the Oklahoma Senate on his removal, so every legislator’s position is transparent to the people they represent.
We do not accept closed-door politics as a substitute for accountability. The people of Oklahoma are the highest authority and deserve honest, transparent government.
Leadership is a privilege, not an entitlement.
Accountability strengthens government. Tyranny weakens it.

The People of Oklahoma
