On Saturday, January 27th, the State Committee met in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma per the official call. Over 120 members from over 40 counties and 48 guests were present at the meeting. Opening remarks were offered by Sen. Dusty Deevers. To watch those remarks, click here.
The most notable resolution passed was a resolution condemning Sen. James Lankford and his border deal with Sen. Schumer. Many other resolutions were also discussed and passed by the committee.
The OKGOP Rules state in Rule 10(b) that, “The State Committee is the supreme Republican Party authority of the state Republican Party…” This responsibility is something the members present took seriously, and included resolutions condemning elected officials who have violated the Republican Platform, as well as multiple procedural resolutions directing the Chairman of the OKGOP, and laying out a framework for the State Convention that emphasized voter integrity and the right to participate.
