On Saturday, October 14th, the State Committee met in Coweta (near Broken Arrow), Oklahoma per the official call. Per a vote by the assembly, all the alternates sent in via County Chairman Rosters were seated per OKGOP Rule 6(b)2. The contested members in Washington County and Osage County were seated by a vote of the assembly as well resolving all known credentialing issues.

We took a step forward with the State Committee recognizing the rights of the counties’ to self govern by seating our Vice Chairman & Alternate on the committee and we passed resolutions regarding J6 defendants, election integrity, supporting Israel and a few others. If and when minutes are made available to us by the state, we will happily provide them. OKGOP Chairman Nathan Dahm was presiding and our special guest speaker was Superintendent Ryan Walters.

The State Chairman announced at the July meeting that resolutions would not be heard from the floor unless accompanied by minutes from their county. The agenda sent from the State Chairman did not include new business, which is how members bring any motions. The assembly determined by a floor vote that new business would be heard and also defended their right to bring resolutions, as voting members of the State Committee.

The reports and recommendations from Ad Hoc committees (filled with appointed members, not approved by the State Committee body) were rejected by the assembly. The assembly voted to approve a budget recommended by the Budget Committee.

The OKGOP Secretary recommended a 1 1/2 page additional policy detailing a multi-step process for updating who the county sends to the State Committee. Per the OKGOP Rules, the roster sent by a County Chairman is the only documentation required for members to serve on the State Committee, so that report was rejected.

Several resolutions were passed. Here are some of them. We are requesting official minutes from the meeting so while the wording may not be final, it will be close to what is seen below (our plan is to update with a link to the minutes if/when received):

A motion was also passed, censuring the person or persons behind the alias Chickasaw Warrior.

Much was accomplished on Saturday for the people to retain their rights to be involved in the affairs of the Republican Party in Oklahoma as should be the case, per our OKGOP state rules.
