Last Thursday, I had the privilege of hearing President Trump speak live, and wanted to share my thoughts:
He was personable and respectful. His gratitude to Christian broadcasters (his audience) was palpable.
He wants America to return to the days of churchgoing and Yankee stadium filled for revival crusades (like the Billy Graham crusade he attended as a child). He believes that a revival is what our nation needs (and I agree!).
He believes in truth and the Christian values that made America great, mentioning the topics of gender, Israel, parental rights, human life, and medical freedom. He promised to defund the federal Department of Education, end the bloody war in Ukraine, provide tax relief, and more.
He is burdened by the death of thousands upon thousands in the Ukraine war that we are continuing by our policies, the devastating effects of an open border, and this overall disregard for human life by this administration.
He loves the founding principles of America and is willing to go through these endless indictments to stand up for true justice. His acknowledgment that justice is a Christian principle, and his plea tonight for true justice to return to our land was moving.
He has, and will continue to protect free speech, and thanked the broadcasters for the vital work they do by proclaiming hope and truth to millions, even in the wake of leftist censorship.
In his first term, he kept his promises to the Christian Right – from Supreme Court justices, to stopping “regulation” on the church by repealing the Johnson Amendment, to listening to the counsel of Christian leaders.
He made new promises, including to end the political persecution of American Christians, starting with pro-life activists.
As he recapped his first term, I remembered how, just a few years ago, we had a president who valued LIFE, LIBERTY, and the proclamation of TRUTH instead of a myriad of lies.
There is one man who is listening to Christian leaders, who wants to defend our freedom to proclaim truth, and who wants to continue the Christian values that this nation was founded upon. That man is Donald Trump.
