ongoing story

The deep back story is that until this year, with our newly elected GOP County Chairman Larry Murray and our grassroots control of the county committee, Washington County has never to my knowledge held a meeting of the County Committee.  They met as a blended body of Executive Committee and County Committee in a very top down oriented fashion.  Certainly not in line with OKGOP Rule 6(b)1 which states, “The County Committee of each county is the supreme Republican Party authority of the county, subject to these rules and the direction and control of County Conventions. It is charged with the duty of promoting the welfare and directing and controlling the affairs of the Republican Party in its county.”

The story begins with attempts to stack the deck at the county convention.  Never properly addressed.  Then a spreadsheet designed or accidentally giving the ruling class the win until called out by people running their own tallies and insisting on corrections.

It moves on to removal of vice chair who turned in a nomination to state election board in direct conflict with the central committee’s recommendations:

Then WCGOP received an opinion (linked above in supporting documents) from the state sent by Sarah Clutts whose standing with the state party is questionable at best and for good reason!  Here is the information we discovered about Sarah Clutts and the Spencer Fane law firm:

Does OKGOP “Deputy” Counsel Sarah Clutts Align with Republican Values?

One must ask how this person could possibly speak for the OKGOP in any capacity whatsoever! Both her letter and the response from WCGOP are at the bottom of the Timeline article above.

Election anomalies (at least and fraud at worst) and an inappropriate appointment to the state election board must be cleaned up if we are to have any election integrity at all in our party and at the ballot box.

It is anticipated that this matter will come before the State Committee scheduled for July 8th in OKC.
