Dear Fellow Republicans,

We as a nation are facing many crises. There are constant reminders as we travel our streets and listen to the news. We know enemy countries are infiltrating our borders with military aged men. The illegal invaders flooding our borders are being dispersed into every corner of our country. Tulsa has been declared a sanctuary city. We know these people are not being screened, they are provided with all the amenities and travel to their chosen destination at taxpayer expense; this while our national debt rises above 34 trillion dollars!

Senator Lankford has been negotiating or compromising with Chuck Schumer. There is no compromise. Close the border, protect our sovereignty; this is non-negotiable, and our elected officials are not only failing us, but they are also turning their backs on us. As elected officials, they should take a bold stand for the American people, America first. Their response to this crisis is casual; it is just another campaign issue. Why the deafening silence? No, we want action! The American people were asking, “Oklahomans, where are you?” Rise up, take a stand. Again, the silence was deafening. On Saturday, January 27th , we spoke up and took our stand to say, “close our border.” We as an OKGOP State Committee Body, condemn and censure you, Senator Lankford. We do not approve of your compromises with a democratic leadership that continues to betray our nation’s sovereignty.

As our society deteriorates, our politicians and leaders twiddle their thumbs, pontificating on irrelevant issues, empty rhetoric and compromising negotiations. When will we have real leaders who address real issues? Where is our representation? Due to these concerns, I was asked by multiple state committee members to call the meeting after our chairman declined to make an official call of a prescheduled January 13th meeting. His priority was to travel to Iowa for the caucus meetings. This is more than just infighting within our party. This is about one side protecting the official party status quo and another side advocating for an America First policy. The OKGOP State Committee is a voice for you, “We the People.” The OKGOP State Committee is the Supreme Authority of our party at the state level. Many of our leaders in the Republican Party don’t want to acknowledge or adhere to this authority and obvious, stated rule.

I have received many emails from frustrated Republicans. I share your frustration. When I was elected Vice Chair of the OKGOP, I committed to two basis goals: keeping our elected officials accountable to the OKGOP Republican Platform, which is developed by us, “we the people.” I committed to make, “R” in Republican mean something. The other commitment was to give you voice and authority. I will stand by that commitment.

On Saturday, January 27th , state committee members traveled from all over the state, to take care of our party’s business. We passed 14 resolutions. The State Committee understood the urgency of our crisis. But more importantly, we addressed the issues that face our state and nation, sending a potent message to Mr. Lankford that he is selling us out. His lack of response to concerned citizens necessitated action. We are watching and we are speaking loudly. Our OKGOP State Chairman and surrogates, in denouncing the legitimacy of the OKGOP State Committee meeting, are neutering the voices of the State Committee, who are his authority. His authority and mine are subservient to their authority, the OKGOP State Committee. This was an appropriately called meeting as our OKGOP Rules articulate. Chairman Dahm, I ask you to join your party’s majority and condemn and censure US Senator James Lankford.

Vice Chairman
