State Committee Embraced New Business and Passed Resolutions at October Meeting

On Saturday, October 14th, the State Committee met in Coweta (near Broken Arrow), Oklahoma per the official call. Per a vote by the assembly, all the alternates sent in via County Chairman Rosters were seated per OKGOP Rule 6(b)2. The contested members in Washington County and Osage County were seated by a vote of the assembly as well resolving all known credentialing issues.

The State Chairman announced at the July meeting that resolutions would not be heard from the floor unless accompanied by minutes from their county. The agenda sent from the State Chairman did not include new business, which is how members bring any motions. The assembly determined by a floor vote that new business would be heard and also defended their right to bring resolutions, as voting members of the State Committee.
