And the Republican Party too!
It begins in your own backyard. Make friends with your neighbors. Care for those hurting and lost nearby. Make a point to expand your friendships one household at a time. Share about local matters. Attend meetings like school board and city council if you can. Walk your block if you can. Host meetings in your home if you can. If not help someone else do that.
The smallest recognized entity in the Republican Party is the precinct. But it is much more manageable if you have block captains. Then when there is an election you can disseminate information quickly to the whole precinct. Set up block groups on signal where information can be shared timely. Listen to everyone’s concerns!
Ultimately decide who should represent your precinct at county meetings and state meetings. Select people who have a basic understanding of constitutional limited government and bottom up control at all levels of government. Work to protect parental rights in public school matters.
Important Note: if you do this once and maintain it you have built permanent infrastructure that mobilizes from issue to issue and campaign to campaign.
Make it fun and build lasting friendships too!
This is how we change our world! One community at a time! Just like a houseplant, these relationships are built on trust and must be watered and nurtured. Trust is very hard to regain once broken. So please take care of one another. If problems arise, and they will, take an issue directly to the person before you scatter it to the wind. It may be a misunderstanding easily resolved when fully understood.
Finally, and most importantly, pray. Pray like your life depends on it! It does! And so does the fate of our nation. We do not solve things nationally. We solve things locally!
