First United Methodist Church at 302 S Seminole in Okmulgee is hosting a warming shelter in their Rowe Family Life Center – 24 hrs a day through Wednesday at noon.  They need additional volunteers to check people in, monitor the facility and help pass out food Sunday night – Wed noon.   They also need microwavable food items (like ramen noodles), snacks, fruit, water, etc. (food items can be dropped off at the Dairy Queen in Okmulgee).  First United Methodist would also appreciate monetary help to cover their extra expenses if you would rather contribute that way.

Contact Rose Lynch at 918-313-7437 for scheduling or additional information.  And if you need a warm space feel free to go there.  (some of the Okmulgee County Gop officers have already signed up to work).

The library will also be open their normal hours (except Monday holiday).  The YMCA will be open their normal hours.  Both are open for warming during this cold spell.
